Our First Queen

Finally after months of searching for the right queen to breed Celtic Twilight with we have found her!  The week before Christmas we will drive up to Armagh in Northern Ireland to collect the new addition to our family  - Princess Jasmine from Risetta Persians.  She is a beautiful Seal Tortie Tabby Colourpoint Persian kitten.  Her colouring will darken as she gets older but you can already see the striping slightly in her tail and paws.

I cant wait to have two of the most beautiful cats at my first show in February!!!

There are so many different colours kittens that can come out of this match so stay tuned!!!!

About a week later and Mush is settling in very nicely.  He has taken to lying on my nightstand - don't you just want to kiss his little face!  Notice his lilac nose and paw pads - typical of a Lilac Solid Persian.

Cute shot of Mush content in my arms!

Curled up in his other favorite spot, Johnnies pillow!

Starting to look a little scraggly, might be time for his first bath soon.
We discovered that Mush has rag doll qualities which is unusual for a persian.  He just flops in your arms if you pick him up while he is asleep.  Too cute for words - how did I get such a great cat?

Bringing Home My First Persian Cat

I can honestly say that bringing home Celtic Twilight from Kazbara Persians was one of the best days of my life.  I had dreamed of owning a Persian since I was a little girl, maybe around 5?  Then as I was a teenager I became fascinated by breeding and showing cats as a hobby.  I had always imagined that someday I would be in a position to follow my dream and now I can.  It felt great to cross that one of my bucket list.  In this first shot Celtic Twilight badly needs a brushing and his eyes cleaned, something I am going to have to get used to!

After hours of trying to introduce the kitten to the dogs, they finally sat on the same couch without any drama!!!

Johnnie gives Twilight a mohawk!!!!  It was in the car journey that the nick name Mush was decided upon.  We had just moved to Birr, where everyone calls each other Mush.  Plus his face so cute and mushed in so it seemed like a perfect name and it stuck!

My First Lilac Solid Male Persian Kitten!

Here is one of the first pictures I received from the breeder of my new little boy!  He is an extremely rare lilac solid persian solid male long haired persian.  He is the only lilac solid to ever be registered in Ireland, how priveleged am I?  I cant thank Karen Rima from Kazbara Persians enough for giving me such a wonderful kitten and giving me so much advice. You can also see his tortie sister in the background.  She is so tiny compared to him and his solid black brother.

He is starting the gladius position that Persians are so famous for very early!!!!!!
Here is a picture of the whole litter.  You can see his two brothers here too - the colour point and the black solid.  I tell you it was a hard choice they were all so gorgeous.  Twilight stole my heart when he started to lick my hand and then the decision was made!
